NILPS is a 5-year, 4.5 GBP million project funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF), Historic Environment Scotland, Orkney Island Council, Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE) and Scottish Natural Heritage (SNH). The aim of the scheme is to promote the North Isles natural, built and cultural heritage, through providing funding for a range of physical improvements, conservation and landscape projects, training, interpretation and educational projects.
