## Summary

The Aberdeen City Council has initiated a planned procurement process, inviting responses from interested parties for a market sounding exercise to explore commercial supply of hydrogen from its production facilities in 2023 and beyond. The tender, titled "hydrogen supply market engagement to commercial agreements," falls under the industry category of goods and is in the planning stage. The procurement offers business opportunities related to hydrogen supply, particularly in the production and distribution sectors, with a value of £1,000,000 GBP.

This procurement process by Aberdeen City Council presents an opportunity for businesses involved in hydrogen production and supply to engage commercially with the Council. Interested parties can participate in discussions about becoming off-takers for hydrogen fuel from Aberdeen City Council in 2023. The process involves identifying potential customers for green and grey hydrogen, providing options for supply, delivery agreements, and feedback mechanisms for industry input. Businesses involved in hydrogen fuel production and distribution, especially those focused on sustainability and emissions reduction, are well-suited to compete in this tender and explore potential collaborations with Aberdeen City Council.

## Notice

The purpose of this market sounding exercise is to seek responses from those parties who may be interested in exploring a commercial supply of hydrogen from Aberdeen City Council production facilities (TECA/ACHES) in 2023 and beyond.
