The building is category B listed. A number of additions and alterations to the building have been carried out, not all of which have been sympathetic to its original design and character, or delivered the high quality spaces required by the School of Business. The University has identified a capital project for 1-3 Perth Road, which will involve a major refurbishment of the building to ensure that the spaces are reconfigured to better reflect the original design and character of the building, and to ensure that it can support the evolving operational needs of the School of Business. The project must result in a solution that can be flexible and support any other future development strategy that may emerge over the next 25 years.
