## Summary

North Lanarkshire Council is seeking suppliers for their Flexible Framework to provide solutions for Equipment and Adaptations for pupils with Additional Support Needs (ASN) in education settings. The framework, classified under the CPV code 85312400, invites continuous participation from new applicants until 16 January 2026. The procurement process follows an open procedure under the guidelines of the Procurement Reform (Scotland) Act 2014 and aims to address requisites noted in the Equality Act. This ongoing procurement, valued at £480,000, supports services across the UKM84 region, centring in Motherwell. It utilises an electronic submission method with the main procurement category listed as services. Key dates include the tender period ending on the award date, 16 January 2026, when bids will be publicly opened for evaluation.

This procurement process presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in manufacturing and supplying educational equipment and adaptations, particularly those adept at creating bespoke solutions that cater to the unique needs of ASN pupils. Suppliers capable of providing items such as standing frames, wheelchairs, height-adjustable furniture, and activity chairs which consider whole-life costs including maintenance and disposal, are likely to find this framework beneficial. The Council's requirement for innovative solutions combined with assessments from occupational therapists offers varied opportunities for suppliers within the healthcare and education industries to integrate niche expertise into their offerings. Firms that can leverage existing inventories to design and repurpose equipment will have an advantage in competing for tender awards, thereby supporting the business growth within this vibrant educational service sector.
