The Research Computing Backup Solution (RCBS) provides backup and disaster recovery services for securing research data held in the University's research computing infrastructure including components from various suppliers including IBM. OCF currently provide full solution support, including technology integration, engineers based at the ACF, and all hardware and software support for the Research Computing Backup Solution. By maintaining a single support supplier, it eliminates any possibility of disputes between multiple support agents for service provision. Only OCF have the capability/access to deliver the required IBM equipment in-conjunction with providing the ongoing support and technical integration for the overall Solution.
