Companies specialising in supplying and installing analytical instruments like mass spectrometry systems would find this tender suitable for their expertise. The award of the contract signals a potential business partnership with the University of Strathclyde, a renowned academic institution in Scotland, furthering the supplier's reputation in the market and potentially leading to future collaborations in the research and educational sectors.

## Notice

This proposal aimed to acquire a liquid chromatography single quadrupole mass spectrometry system to be used solely for ion pairing experiments.

### Lot Information

Lot 1

This proposal aims to acquire a liquid chromatography single quadrupole mass spectrometry system to be used solely for ion pairing experiments. This system will be dedicated to the separation and analysis of natural and synthetic biomacromolecules, including short RNA/DNA based oligonucleotides, proteins, peptides, and peptoids as examples. It will integrate complex separation of these biomolecules and their impurities, with direct quantification via UV-absorbance, mass measurement via quadrupole mass section and quantification of impurity profile. Since many of these biomolecules rely on compound purity for their biological activity, direct quantification of the target compound and impurity profile will be critical for evaluating their intended quality and performance, analytical method development for quality control and generate data that can be used to optimize synthetic routes and methods for these biomolecules.

Options: The Contracting Authority reserves the right to request additional deliveries by the Successful Tenderer, either intended as partial replacement of suppliers or installations or as extensions of existing supplies and installations. The Contracting Authority may at its sole discretion exercise this option.
