Renfrewshire Council requires the Contractor to power wash windows prior to the installation of window protection. All facades to be power washed with anti-fungicidal wash, using a stiff brush in areas where required, prior to the application of primer (2 coats) and top-coat (2 coats) to ensure clean bond of paint to existing surface. The Contractor is required to seal crazing and cracks to the render and renewal the silicone seals around all windows and openings to prevent moisture from entering the external wall insulation.
