## Notice

The City of Edinburgh Council is seeking to procure an iPad repair service to fix broken iPads belonging to approximately 145 schools/early years centres within the Edinburgh boundary. This service will include the collection, repair and drop off of iPads. It is expected that there will be a demand of between 60 and 90 iPads to repair per month. It is anticipated that most repairs will be screen replacements, however the supplier must have the knowledge, skill and capacity to carry out more complex repairs if required. Repairs should be done using high quality replacement parts. A collection and drop off service is required as part of the contract, regardless of the volume of iPads being transported. For all repairs, it is expected that each iPad is collected, repaired, and returned within 14 calendar days.

The Empowered Learning programme has given every City of Edinburgh Council (the Council) school pupil from P6 to S6 their own iPad as part of our ambitious and inclusive education strategy, Edinburgh Learns for Life. iPads have also been issued to P1 - P6 groups on an agreed ratio. The 1 to 1 and group roll-out has concluded and we have more than 44k iPad devices in use throughout The City of Edinburgh schools. Included in the provision alongside our school iPad devices are all the additional iPhones and iPads found within our authority.. The purpose of this notice is to understand the market, organisations who have the capability and capacity to meet the requirements outlined in this notice should note interest in the opportunity. Further engagement may be requested to aid support of the requirement, this will be advertised through this PIN notice.
