The GoSilico offering is unique because it offers by far the best-proven and most versatile models on the market, which cover a large range of different chromatography columns, machines, products and contaminants. In particular, it is especially well-suited for modelling the chromatography components supplied by its parent company Cytiva, which we intend to use to a large extent in this project. This is a major advantage of the GoSilico software over commercial competitor products such as Aspen Chromatography, which is more limited in the scope of the elements that can be modelled. Furthermore we have also considered the use of open-source solutions such as CADET, but these would require extensive expert training to operate which we do not have time for in this short-duration project, with GoSilico being far more accessible to non-experts.
