## Summary

The public procurement process for the contract award relates to the "Provision of Scanning Equipment Maintenance" by Historic Environment Scotland. The industry category for this tender is services, with a focus on Tourism, Built Environment, Conservation, and Heritage. The procurement stage is complete, and the contract was signed on 25th May 2023. Historic Environment Scotland, based in Edinburgh, UK, is the buying organisation for this award procedure without prior publication of a call for competition.

This tender for the maintenance of scanning equipment presents business growth opportunities for companies providing technical support services and spare parts for legacy equipment. Businesses well-suited to compete in this procurement include maintenance service providers, particularly those with expertise in servicing digital scanning equipment. The procurement method rationale indicates that competition is absent for technical reasons, offering a niche market for specialised suppliers in the scanning equipment maintenance industry.

## Notice

This Voluntary Ex-Ante Transparency (VEAT) Notice relates to the intended procurement of maintenance services for scanning equipment. The contract duration is to be for 36 months.
