## Summary

The Glasgow West Housing Association Limited, a public body governed by public law, has awarded a contract for common and domestic repairs, maintenance, and void services under a voluntary ex-ante transparency (VEAT) notice. The contract was awarded to Bell Group Limited through a limited procurement method without prior competition due to extreme urgency. The contracting process includes a pilot agreement for a 12-month period and a strategic review planned to commence in Q1 2023 for long-term service provision, aiming to address marketplace uncertainties post-Brexit and the impact of recent global events.

This tender process initiated by the Glasgow West Housing Association presents business growth opportunities for suppliers in the services sector, particularly those offering common and domestic repair, maintenance, and void services. Businesses with experience in multi-trade contracting and a focus on providing short-term solutions could be well-suited to compete in this process. The contracting authority's intention to engage with a wide range of service providers beyond the initial pilot phase signals future business potential for companies interested in long-term partnerships in the housing and community amenities industry within the Glasgow region, UK.
