Lot 1

The successful supplier will help HES understand our exposure and provide advice on non-domestic rates for Properties in Care, Offices and Depots across our estate. The successful supplier will provide a detailed strategy, which will include a review of HES's portfolio with appeal recommendations, and a solution to reduce our rates liability including liaising with the Scottish Assessor Association and Assessors across Scotland. HES require the successful supplier to appeal the rateable values set by the Assessor for a number of properties across our portfolio where the increase in the RV is significant. See separate document for details of the RV's to be reviewed. It is envisaged that the contract will commence in June 2023 for an initial period of 2 years, with the option to extend the contract by a further 2 years reviewed annually. The supplier is expected to provide proof of both Professional and Employers Indemnity Insurance.
