Engineers/operatives under the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER) warehouse style racking must be inspected regularly by a Storage Equipment Manufacturer's Association (SEMA) approved rack inspector every 12 months with a written report submitted detailing observations and proposals for any action required.

Lot 1

It is a requirement of the supplier to attend the sites and carry out inspections as required in the first instance, to carry out initial surveys of the racking within the premise, noting any property and infrastructure concerns. The Supplier is to provide (in include in their cost) awareness training for nominated DCC staff to carry out visual inspections, enabling them to use and maintain warehouse style racking.. The contractor and their operatives under the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER) must be a Storage Equipment Manufacturer's Association (SEMA) approved rack inspector to conduct annual inspections of Warehouse Style Racking and produce a written report submitted detailing observations and proposals for any action required

Renewal: The initial contract period is 3 years and the purchaser will have the right to extend 12 months, then 12 months with a maximum period of 5 years. A review will be undertaken in year 2 of the contract and year 4 if the optional extension(s) are utilised.
