## Summary

The East Lothian Council has awarded a contract for an Intensive Support Service within the Children's Services sector. The service aims to support children and young people at risk of being removed from their families due to behavioural issues that bring them into conflict with the law. The procurement process was completed on 31st October 2023, with a contract value of £400,691. The service will be delivered in families' homes and within their communities, focusing on holistic, therapeutic, and rights-based approaches.

This opportunity can benefit businesses involved in providing services for vulnerable children and young people. Companies with experience in delivering therapeutic and relational support services, aligned with the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, would be well-suited to compete. The procurement method for the contract was an open procedure, offering a chance for various suppliers to engage in the tender process. The tender period ended on 6th September 2023, with electronic submission being the preferred method of bidding.
