## Summary

Aberdeen City Council has awarded contracts for their "2023 - Aberdeen City - Whole Family Support Services" procurement. The tender aims to provide integrated support services for children, young people (ages 0-18), and families within the Aberdeen City boundary, including temporary out-of-city arrangements. The awards include three lots: "Fit Like Family Wellbeing", "Targeted Family Support", and "Priority Families". These contracts focus on early intervention for families exposed to trauma, children in conflict with the law, children on the edge of care, and children with disabilities. The procurement followed an open procedure using MEAT (Most Economically Advantageous Tender) criteria, with an emphasis on quality to price ratio at 80:20. Key dates include the signing of contracts from April to August 2024, with an initial term of two years and options for three one-year extensions.

This tender opens substantial business growth opportunities, particularly for service providers specialising in family and child support services. Relevant firms include those experienced in addressing complex family issues, providing integrated social work supports, and offering early intervention services. Notably, "Action for Children" secured the "Priority Families" contract, while "Children 1st" and "Includem" were awarded "Fit Like Family Wellbeing" and "Targeted Family Support" respectively. SMEs with a robust track record in community-based support, mental health services, or those capable of working with neurodiverse populations could find this procurement particularly beneficial. Additionally, firms offering extended services such as financial and practical assistance, family well-being support, and youth engagement programmes are well-suited to these opportunities.
