Lot 1

The Contracting Authority intends to award a Contract for the required services under Procurement (Scotland) Regulations 2016. Regulation 6 (4) (b). The procurement relates to the dismantle of existing equipment housed in the Lightweight Manufacturing Centre (LMC) and its relocation in NMIS.

Options: The Contracting Authority reserves the right to request additional deliveries by the Successful Tenderer, either intended as partial replacement of supplies or installations or as extensions of existing supplies and installations. The Contracting Authority may at it's sole discretion exercise this option.

### Procurement Information

The Contracting Authority is awarding the procurement under Regulation 6 of the Procurement (Scotland) Regulations 2016. (4) A contracting authority may award a public supply contract without seeking offers in relation to the proposed contract-- (b)for additional deliveries by the original supplier which are intended either as a partial replacement of supplies or installations or as the extension of existing supplies or installations where a change of supplier would oblige the contracting authority to acquire supplies having different technical characteristics which would result in incompatibility or disproportionate technical difficulties in operation and maintenance. The original equipment manufacturer (OEM) is required to undertake the services to safeguard continuation of the warranty and service package aligned to the equipment.
