## Notice

The Corporate Transformation & Workplace Directorate sits within DG Corporate, a family of core services. Within the Directorate, Corporate Transformation is a new team, focussed on delivering new corporate services that underpin much of the work that government does. Systems and processes put in place some time ago are no longer fit for the government we have become, and for the journey ahead. Core services and capabilities need refreshed, creating new levels of service, ease of use, and productivity gains.Our focus is delivery. We are not a policy function. Our value within the organisation is in problem resolution and the creation and delivery of services that enables the organisation as a whole. The Directorate will be responsible for many programmes and initiatives as we grow, critical to the ongoing development of SG.The Transformation Design and Architecture Division is home to people with business, data and digital architecture, design and analysis skills and expertise. People from the division will work on understanding what the future state for corporate services needs to look like, and the stepping stones we need to take to get there, understanding our target business architecture, our overall data strategy for corporate services, and the components that together make up the 'corporate platform'.Our team will also support programmes or projects on our roadmap. Some of these projects are inflight today requiring delivery analysis skills whilst other initiatives require analysts to undertake pre-project and project shaping activities.As a business analyst, you will be an excellent communicator and be able to rationalise complex information to make it understandable for others to work with. You will work across the central government sector with a focus on governments corporate services. The key duties of this role include* Engaging with senior stakeholders to build strong working relationships* Planning and delivering business analysis products (documentation) in accordance with project requirements.* Responsibilities include creation and ownership of business analysis deliverables and collateral. This could include pre-project activities (seeking and analysing the root-cause business issues, business case production, contributing to any vendor selection process, solution appraisal) and project delivery activities (scope management, requirements elicitation and process modelling).* Work closely with operational leads, project peers and other stakeholders to help delivery solutions that meet customer needs* Apply a range of techniques to establish and analyse the current state (people, processes and technology) in customer organisations and define future state.* Support the identification of options to deliver enhanced outcomes for citizens and organisations through better use of technology. Support the development of associated business case benefits* Create and obtain approval of business requirements that will result in solutions meeting business needs.* Providing effective consultancy and advice to customers and stakeholders.
