## Summary

The Scottish Government has awarded a contract for Managed Services - Reaching 100% Programme to Parity Professionals. The procurement method used was a limited Award procedure without prior publication of a call for competition. The contract, with a value of £5,000,000.00 GBP, was signed on 21st December 2020. The procurement aimed to support the R100 initiative, focused on ensuring every home and business in Scotland can access superfast broadband. The contracting process reached its completion stage, providing opportunities for businesses in the services sector to supply digital technology resources under the supervision of the Scottish Government based in Glasgow. The program will run for several years with additional extension options available, involving three regional contracts across different geographical Lots in Scotland.

This tender presents business growth opportunities in the services sector, particularly for companies capable of providing digital technology services. The initiative aims to improve broadband accessibility for residents and enterprises in Scotland, promoting economic development and innovation. Businesses with expertise in managing large-scale projects and technology resources would be well-suited to compete. The procurement process involved a strategic approach by the Scottish Government to facilitate the Reach 100% (R100) vision, requiring suppliers to align with the program's objectives and long-term strategic goals set out by the buying organisation. The successful contracting of Parity Professionals signals a milestone achievement in advancing Scotland's digital infrastructure and enhancing connectivity for all stakeholders involved.

## Notice

The Scottish Government has set out a clear commitment that every home and business across Scotland should be able to access superfast broadband. This commitment resulted in the Reaching 100% programme (R100), which comprises public investment through three regional contracts alongside a voucher scheme. To procure the main R100 contracts, Scotland was split into three geographical Lots - the North, Central and South.

### Lot Information

Lot 1

The R100 programme team will manage the three contracts and the SBVS - all of which will run for a number of years. The scale of the task will require some flexibility in-life to ensure that there is sufficient capacity within and across the team to deliver the various objectives associated with the different elements of the programme. The structure of the Programme Team is now established and key appointments have been made to fill the Programme and Commercial Director roles, along with a number of other senior positions.

Options: three additional 12 month extension options available
