## Summary

The East Ayrshire Council has initiated a planning tender for the provision of training on Harmful Sexual Behaviour. The procurement process is at the planning stage, with the anticipated contract notice to be released on 18th January 2024. The training programme falls under the 'services' category, focusing on supporting children and adolescents experiencing HSB in the UK. The procurement is being led by the East Ayrshire Council, based in Kilmarnock, UK.

This procurement opportunity for training services presents a chance for businesses specialising in education, social work services, and child welfare to expand their operations. Companies with expertise in delivering training programmes for social workers or working with children and young people displaying trauma-based behaviours would find this tender well-suited for their capabilities. Interested parties can register their interest with Zoe Wilson at East Ayrshire Council to explore potential collaboration opportunities.

## Notice

There has been a significant increase in newly qualified social workers joining East Ayrshire's Children & Families social work department. For many, they will as yet have no practice knowledge or experience of supporting children or adolescents who display Harmful Sexual Behaviour (HSB). Added to this, we are experiencing an increase in referrals for children and young people showing trauma-based behaviours, and need to support our front line workers to understand the potential drivers and contributors to this.
