Direct ordering and tracking of orders, but specifically in terms of the operation of the EAS the system will be much more sophisticated in the construction of delivery routes and times, based more on the complexity of work rather than the number of deliveries. A system that will also link directly to the stock control process, reducing administrative functions. Field staff will be provided with handheld devices which will greatly reduce the reliance on printed paperwork, provide real-time delivery information to the prescribers via email and route management based on current traffic conditions. Improved monitoring of equipment due for review and maintenance. Give prescribers direct access to equipment catalogues stock levels and Service Users equipment history. Interoperability and data sharing with the new social work system being provided by Mosaic and other external service contractors to reduce duplication of input.
