## Summary

The Glasgow City Council is planning a procurement process for the Pollok Stables Equine Operator. The project involves refurbishing Pollok Stables and Sawmill in Pollok Country Park to create a living heritage centre. The Council seeks an operator to provide services such as caring for Clydesdale Horses, horse and carriage ride experiences, and more. The procurement is at the planning stage, with key dates, deadlines, and location in Glasgow, UK. Businesses in the equine industry or tourism sector are well-suited to compete for this opportunity.

The procurement opportunity, led by the Glasgow City Council, offers businesses a chance to be involved in an exciting project to revitalise Pollok Stables into a heritage centre. The tender presents opportunities for companies in the equine space, event management, tourism, and related sectors. As the Council progresses through the procurement stage, businesses interested in providing services related to Clydesdale Horses and public-facing activities should engage with the tender process. The project aims to attract local, national, and international audiences, providing a platform for business growth and innovation.

## Notice

Glasgow City Council is currently refurbishing Pollok Stables and Sawmill, which is situated in the grounds of Pollok Country Park. The Stables were previously used to house Parks staff and the City's Clydesdale horses. Prior to the current ongoing refurbishment, the condition of the buildings was deteriorating which caused staff and tenants to be moved out in 2017, followed by the City's Clydesdale horses being moved out in 2018. The Council is committed to reintroducing Clydesdale Horses as part of the refurbishment project, which will deliver a "living heritage centre" intended for a local, city wide national and international audience. In addition to the stables, the project will include a visitor centre, a working Sawmill and hydroelectric scheme, interpretation spaces, education spaces, event spaces and a cafe.
