## Summary

Dumfries and Galloway Council has successfully established the "Creative Placemaking Flexible Framework" to support community-led engagement through creative activities aimed at facilitating positive change. This framework covers various localities, including Annandale & Eskdale, Nithsdale, Stewartry, and Wigtownshire (UKM92). The procurement stage is currently at the Award phase, with contracts signed as of 2nd August 2024 for Annandale & Eskdale and the 2nd September 2024 for the other three lots. The open procedure method was used for this public service category tender, ensuring a comprehensive submission process that concluded on 22nd May 2024.

This tender presents substantial opportunities for businesses in the creative engagement industry to grow their portfolio by working closely with local communities on various projects. SMEs, in particular, would find this framework advantageous due to its focus on community engagement and capacity building, making it ideal for firms specializing in community planning, creative activities, and public consultancy services. Successful bidders included a mix of SMEs and larger firms like 7N Architects, greenspace scotland, and WSP UK Limited, demonstrating the framework's suitability for a range of business sizes. This framework encourages hands-on support and strategic input, making it a lucrative venture for businesses keen to drive local community initiatives and urban development strategies.
