### Lot Information

Lot 1

The Contracting Authority seeks to award a Contract for the supply and delivery of a high-performance Orbital TIG Welding System for In-Process Ultrasonic Inspection research. The University of Strathclyde's Electronic and Electrical Engineering (EEE) department secured grant funding from UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) a non-departmental public body sponsored by the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT). The Contract duration is anticipated to be for a period of sixteen (16) months inclusive of a twelve (12) month warranty and twelve (12) week maximum lead time. The Contracting Authority requires a supplier that can fulfil the below non exhaustive list of requirements: The offered equipment must support Orbital TIG Welding of 6 - 8" NB Pipes The offered equipment must support Orbital TIG Welding of 6 - 8" NB, 10 - 20 mm thickness Pipes The offered equipment must feature 5 - 300 A constant or pulsed welding capability The offered equipment must feature control of 6 external axis The offered equipment must be capable of recording Arc Voltage, welding current, electrode position in angular degrees, welding speed and wire speed The offered equipment must include Arc Voltage Control & > 50 mm Oscillation slide motors.. Note that the Contract was awarded in Euros and the Total Tendered Sum was converted to Pound Sterling and verified using the Bank of England Exchange Rate (9/10/2024).

Options: The Contracting Authority reserves the right to request additional deliveries by the successful Tenderer, either intended as partial replacement of supplies or installations or as extensions of existing supplies and installations. The Contracting Authority may at it's sole discretion exercise this option.
