## Summary

The Common Services Agency, also known as NHS National Services Scotland (NSS), has initiated and concluded a procurement process titled "Minimally Invasive Surgical Products." This national framework contract covers a range of minimally invasive surgical products for NHS Scotland and is categorized under the health industry. The procurement was conducted using an open procedure and has reached the award stage, concluding on 4th September 2024. Key contract details include multiple lots for single-use instruments, trocars, specimen retrieval systems, and other surgical accessories. The awarded contracts were signed on 3rd September 2024, with suppliers including Applied Medical UK Ltd, Genmed Enterprises Ltd, and others. The total contract value is £9,295,000 GBP.

This tender creates significant business growth opportunities in the healthcare sector, especially for SMEs that specialise in manufacturing and supplying surgical instruments and accessories. The open procedure, framework agreement structure, and the high value of the contracts provide multiple entry points for businesses of varying scales. Companies capable of providing quality support and competitive pricing, adhering to packaging and sterilisation standards, and those with robust delivery capabilities across the UK would be well-suited to compete in such tenders. The focus on minimally invasive surgical products aligns perfectly with the increasing trend towards less invasive medical procedures, offering an expanding market for innovative suppliers in this field.
