The councils' main data storage appliances receives and transmits data over the fibre switches to servers and onward clients connected who require to access applications and data. The switches must be capable of sending and receiving large amounts of data in a timeously fashion, directly attached with fibre and allow for management of allocated fibre channel provisioning..
