## Summary

Loreburn Housing Association, headquartered in Dumfries, is seeking qualified legal service providers to support their operations and those of their subsidiary, Dumfries and Galloway Homes Ltd. The procurement process, conducted via an open procedure, is currently at the award stage. The procurement aims to secure legal services across various specialisms, including property management, civil litigation, corporate governance, employment law, contracts/procurement, and banking/finance. The initially awarded contracts began on 4 September 2024, following the closure of the tender process on 10 July 2024. Each lot covers services in the Housing and Community Amenities category and is based in Dumfries, with an option for a 2-year renewal following the initial 3-year contract period.

This procurement provides significant opportunities for legal firms, especially those focusing on housing associations and community-related legal services. Larger legal firms, SMEs, and solicitors experienced in property, civil litigation, corporate law, employment law, and finance are well-suited to compete for these contracts. The scope of work involves high-value services, ongoing advisory roles, and the potential extension, presenting a strategic opportunity for firms to establish or strengthen their footprint in the public sector. Additionally, the structured selection criteria, focusing on legal qualifications, experience in Scots Law, and financial stability, ensure that participating businesses meet high professional standards, making it an excellent opportunity for proficient legal service providers to expand their client base and enhance their market position.
