## Summary

Renfrewshire Council is managing an open procurement process under the title "Clyde Waterfront and Renfrew Riverside (CWRR) Maritime Linesmen." This project falls within the general public services industry and is located in Renfrew, UKM83 region. The procurement is currently in the award stage and had an anticipated contract award date on or around 16 September 2024, with services expected to start around 23 September 2024 and last for 60 months. The tender involves providing maritime linesmen services for a new road bridge project linking Renfrew with Glasgow and West Dunbartonshire. The procurement process was conducted via an open procedure and included specific award criteria focused on service quality and price.

This tender creates significant opportunities for businesses specialising in maritime support services, particularly those with experience in maintaining and managing mooring operations. Companies equipped to offer a robust, 24/7 on-call service will find this contract especially lucrative, as it requires ongoing availability to manage complex maritime tasks associated with the bridge's operational needs. Businesses with a track record in ensuring the safe mooring and unmooring of vessels, as well as damage assessment and reporting, will be well-suited to compete in this procurement process, offering potential for substantial business growth over its five-year term.
