Any delay to these dates would significantly disrupt the teaching schedule and negatively impact students' learning experiences. ### Procurement Information In preparation for the reopening of a Lecture Theatres 4 and 5 in Appleton Tower, it became necessary to engage a supplier for the installation of lecture seating that were initially planned to be delivered through a subcontracting arrangement and one potential supplier was invited to cost the works by the contractor. However, due to unforeseen financial risks associated with the subcontractor, this approach was abandoned by the contractor on 10th May 2024. Due to the 18 week lead time and 15 day installation time there was insufficient time to conduct an open tender process without adversely affecting the project timeline.
