The radiopharmacy service provides individually prepared doses to patients within NHSGGC, NHS Forth Valley, NHS Ayrshire & Arran and NHS Lanarkshire. The doses produced are used in 13 Nuclear Medicine departments across these boards. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde Radionuclide Dispensary service is located in North Glasgow Sector within the Acute Division of NHSGGC. The service is responsible for the production of outpatient and inpatient radiopharmaceutical doses to patients of the four west and central Scotland health boards as above. We also provide some doses to University or commercial customers. We aim to deliver a timely, high quality, patient centred service to all our service users in line with NHSGGC's quality aims and the Quality Strategy. We use the evidence base at all times to ensure we are delivering the most up to date care for our patients. The service produces around 30,000 doses each year and also acts as a central delivery point for radioactive commercial packages for NHSGGC nuclear medicine departments.
