## Summary

ScotRail Trains Limited, located in Glasgow, UK, has awarded a contract for the procurement and support of off-the-shelf security software for their stations under the title "SR390 Station Security Software". The procurement falls under the industry category of Railway Services and covers locations across Scotland (UKM). The procurement method used was a negotiated procedure with a prior call for competition, representing a selective process. The contract was signed on 18th December 2024, and the service is expected to be fully implemented and operational by 1st April 2025. This stage of the procurement process is complete with the award and contract status confirmed as active.

This tender creates substantial opportunities for business growth, particularly for suppliers specialising in security software that is already market-available and tailored to similar railway service requirements. The awarded contract to Tentacle Solutions Scotland Ltd, a small to medium-sized enterprise (SME), highlights the potential for smaller businesses to compete effectively in such procurement processes. Businesses capable of providing scalable and flexible security solutions that can accommodate various business areas, checkpoints, and users would be well-suited to compete for future tenders similar to this one. Competitive criteria included technical and service quality alongside pricing, presenting a balanced opportunity for value-driven and innovative solutions providers.
