## Summary

The Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) has completed the procurement process for the renewal of two data licence agreements with the UK Centre for Ecology & Hydrology (UKCEH). The tender, titled "Award of UKCEH Data Licences 828 & 900 Renewals 2024-2025," falls under the environmental protection category. The contract concerns the continuation of access to critical datasets for flood modelling, forecasting, and environmental analysis. This procurement was conducted through a limited award procedure without a prior call for competition due to the unique nature of the data provided by UKCEH. Key locations involved include North Lanarkshire in Scotland and Wallingford in South East England. The contracts were signed on 17 July 2024, with the process reaching the award stage on 29 July 2024. The total value of the contracts is £52,575.15.

This tender offers insightful opportunities for businesses engaged in environmental data analytics, flood risk management, and related sectors to understand the procurement methods and requirements of SEPA. It underscores the importance of specialised datasets in statutory duties and public service delivery, especially in environmental monitoring and assessment. Businesses that can offer unique, high-quality data products or services that complement or enhance SEPA's existing resources would be well-positioned to compete in similar future procurements. Large organisations that specialise in ecological data, flood analysis, or environmental technology could find ample opportunities for collaboration and growth by aligning their offerings with SEPA's operational needs.
