## Summary

The contract awarded by West Lothian Council, titled “Pupil Equity Funding Framework,” is part of the Scottish Attainment Challenge programme aimed at closing the poverty-related attainment gap in education. This framework agreement allows schools to contract with providers to support the pupil equity fund. The contract, carrying a total value of £5,000,000, covers various services ranging from counselling and therapy to creative engagement and vocational training. The procurement process followed an open procedure and is in the award stage, with the contracts signed on 23rd July 2024. Companies, including large organisations like Action for Children and Barnardo's as well as SMEs like HeadStrong Scotland Limited and Kids Gone Wild, are well-suited to participate. The lots cover diverse activities such as activity-based learning, creative engagement, and staff training, making it an attractive proposition for a wide range of providers. Businesses engaged in delivering high-quality educational resources, therapy sessions, and skill-building workshops will find ample scope for growth and collaboration within this framework agreement.
