Lot 1

Orkney Islands Council requires a suitably experienced design consultancy team with Naval Architect abilities to assist with the Concept and Tendering Design Specification for three new Ro-Pax vessels for the Orkney Outer Isles ( Sanday, Stronsay, Eday and Westray) as per specification and timescale detailed, in the contract documentation.

Options: Bidders have the option to bid for Phase 1 or Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the project with a local authority held option to take up the option for Phase 2 of the project subject to the availability of external funding. For the avoidance of doubt the contract value as stated at 11.2.6 is for Phase 1 of this project only.

Renewal: the Authority may at its sole discretion extend the contract to phase 2 of the requirement. the duration of 6 months and value stated is solely to cover Phase 1 of the requirement.
