Procurement of a Current Research Information System for the management of research outputs and research assessment exercises. Contract for a period of 6 years.. As this was an NCA there was no evaluation involved regarding quality however, the system does not allow for no quality % to be inserted.

### Procurement Information

The Current Research Information System (CRIS) is a critical system for submission to REF (Research Excellence Framework) and supports compliance reporting for UKRI and the annual HESA student and staff returns. The contract has been awarded via negotiated procedure without prior publication on the basis of competition being absent for technical reasons. The current CRIS has functionality that meets the UoE requirements which are not available to a similar required standard in other research information management products for completion of the next REF. The implementation of a new CRIS at this time, without this functionality, would cause significant risk to the University of Edinburgh.
