## Summary

The University of Strathclyde, located at McCance Building, 16 Richmond Street, Glasgow, is initiating a procurement process titled "Supply, Delivery, Installation, Commissioning of Oligonucleotide Synthesis and Processing Equipment" under the goods industry category. This project, part of the CMAC Data Lab- Digital Medicine Manufacturing Research Accelerator project, focuses on acquiring equipment for peptide and oligonucleotide chemistry. The procurement is currently at the award stage, with a contract period proposed to begin after the tender closes on 10 October 2024. Key dates include the end of the tender period and bid opening on 10 October 2024. The procurement method used is an open procedure, and the main delivery location is the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland (region UKM82).

This tender offers significant business growth opportunities, particularly for companies specialising in the manufacturing and supply of scientific and precision equipment. Firms experienced in providing mid to high-throughput oligonucleotide synthesisers are well-suited to compete, especially those capable of meeting the university’s requirements for flexible scale and high-quality parallel synthesis capabilities. The contract also includes potential options for additional deliveries, enhancing the opportunity for sustained business engagement. Financial stability is valued, with a requisite turnover threshold for the bidders. Additionally, the tender process emphasises both quality and price as evaluation criteria, providing a balanced ground for competition.

## Notice

Continuous Manufacturing and Crystallisation centre (CMAC) have a list of capital equipment that they are looking to purchase as part of the delivery of the CMAC Data Lab- Digital Medicine Manufacturing Research Accelerator project This equipment will be used primarily by and for CMAC, goods will be housed on site in CMAC. Specific areas of focus include peptide and oligonucleotide chemistry aimed at developing new treatment modalities for diseases of societal need. This proposal aims to acquire 2 multi-channel automated oligonucleotide synthesisers covering medium through put to high through put approaches. This system will enable the parallel production of DNA, LNA, RNA, 2' RNA modified oligonucleotides and conjugate derivatives using solid phase phosphonamidite chemistry. The systems will provide flexibility in terms of scale, low throughput, and high throughput parallel synthesis, allowing the synthesis of mixed backbones for methodology development purposes or quick access to multiple analogues in one run.
