## Summary

The City of Edinburgh Council is seeking tenders for the licencing, maintenance, and servicing of Falcon software and scanning equipment under tender ID CT1298. This procurement process is in the tender stage, with key services needed by the Customer and Print, Mail and Scan Team for three Falcon scanners. The service involves a call-out schedule for maintenance and servicing, alongside management of annual licences. Located at Unit 1, Flassches Yard, South Gyle Industrial Estate in Edinburgh, the procurement is open for electronic submission through the Public Contracts Scotland website until 12:00 PM on 10th October 2024. The process follows an open procedure, aiming to secure services in the industry category of general public services (CPV: 50310000) with a projected contract duration of 36 months and a potential 12-month extension.

This tender represents substantial growth opportunities for businesses specialising in industrial scanning equipment maintenance and software licencing. Companies with expertise in servicing complex scanning systems and managing software licences will find this procurement particularly well-suited to their capabilities. In addition to the technical nature of the services required, businesses must demonstrate adherence to the economic and technical selection criteria and commit to community benefits, including paying the real Living Wage to staff involved in service delivery. Successful companies can benefit from a long-term contract with the potential for an extension, providing a stable revenue stream and enhancing their portfolio of public sector clients.
