## Summary

East Dunbartonshire Council has completed a procurement process for the framework agreement titled "EDC/2024/4071 - EDC Framework for Drainage CCTV, Vactor & Rehab Works" within the environmental protection industry category. This public procurement contract focuses on the provision and maintenance of road drainage and water infrastructure, including CCTV surveys, vactor cleaning, and rehabilitation works. The procurement utilised an open procedure method, with the tender period closing on 11th October 2024 and the contract signed on 21st January 2025. The contract, worth £1,800,000, covers the local government area of East Dunbartonshire and is aligned with the NEC4 Framework Contract June 2017 (with amendments January 2023). The framework arrangement is with three suppliers: Lanes Group Limited, Draintec Solutions Ltd, and Enviro-Clean Scotland Ltd.

This tender offers significant opportunities for businesses specialising in road and water infrastructure maintenance, particularly those experienced in CCTV investigations, cleaning, and rehabilitation works. Companies capable of deploying people, plant, equipment, and materials efficiently and those with expertise in the Cured in Place Pipe (CIPP) process will find this procurement highly beneficial. The competition saw substantial interest with four electronic bids, three of which were from SMEs, demonstrating high competition levels suitable for well-qualified firms aiming to expand within the public sector infrastructure projects. The contract also includes community benefits, reinforcing the council's commitment to economic and social regeneration objectives, making it an attractive opportunity for businesses looking to demonstrate local impact and corporate social responsibility.
