## Summary

The Scottish Government has commissioned the procurement of occupational psychology services aimed at providing workplace needs assessments and coaching for neurodivergent employees within their organisation. The tender, titled "DFP-Workplace Needs Assessments & Coaching for Neurodivergent Employees," falls under the general public services industry category. The procurement process is in the award stage, with OPM Consulting being the chosen supplier. Key milestones of the process include the contract being signed on 19th February 2025, with services expected to be delivered within the UKM region, primarily in Scotland. The open procedure was utilised for this procurement, and the contract is valued at £600,000 GBP with an option to extend for two additional 12-month periods at the discretion of the Scottish Government.

This tender offers significant opportunities for businesses specialising in occupational psychology, particularly those with expertise in supporting neurodivergent individuals. Companies with a strong focus on delivering bespoke coaching strategies and workplace assessments could see substantial business growth by aligning their services with this project. Additionally, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are well-suited to compete, especially if they have existing frameworks for managing diverse workforces and ensuring inclusive environments. The procurement outlines stringent qualification and financial criteria, ensuring that participating businesses are well-prepared to deliver high-quality services and can contribute positively to the well-being and productivity of Scottish Government employees.

## Notice

The Scottish Government (SG), on behalf of the Scottish Ministers, wishes to commission the procurement of occupational psychology services for SG employees. This will involve providing work-based needs assessments for neurodiverse individuals and strategy coaching for specific situations.

### Lot Information

Lot 1

Neurodiversity describes the way that people think, learn, perceive the world, interact, and process information differently. Different ways of thinking, learning, and interacting with others helps organisations thrive. Having a workforce that includes people with a variety of perspectives, backgrounds and experiences can improve creativity, innovation and problem solving. It is estimated that 1 in 7 people (15%) have a neurodivergent condition. Therefore, potentially up to 1,500 SG employees have a neurodivergent condition and may need workplace support. Our ambition as an employer is to be a diverse and inclusive organisation where everyone feels welcome and respected. Supporting neurodivergent individuals in the workplace is fundamental towards ensuring all employees feel welcome and respected. To support this ambition, the SG would like to establish a contracted supplier to provide work-based needs assessments and strategy coaching for neurodivergent individuals. This offers the SG an opportunity to not only boost engagement and productivity amongst our existing employees, but also ensuring new talent into the organisation are adequately supported.

Options: Option to extend for a further two 12-month periods at the sole discretion of the Scottish Government.

Renewal: Option to extend for a further two 12-month periods at the sole discretion of the Scottish Government.
