The contract, identified as SLC/HT/24/019, involves the council's Housing and Technical Resources requiring a contractor for diagnosing, repairing, and at times replacing old CCTV equipment across various properties including council offices, leisure centres, and schools. The procurement stage has progressed to the award phase, with the contract signed on 28th October 2024 for a value of £25,775. This process was conducted through a selective procurement method, specifically a restricted procedure, showing a focus on quality and competitive pricing.

This tender presents considerable opportunities for businesses, particularly those specializing in CCTV systems and security solutions. It is an excellent opportunity for SMEs with proven expertise in fault diagnosis and repair of extensive CCTV networks to expand their operations within the public sector. Companies able to provide prompt, efficient service and meet the council's hardware specifications for new installations are well-suited to compete for such contracts, paving the way for substantial business growth through public procurement engagements.
