## Summary

South Ayrshire Council has successfully completed the procurement process for the Whole Family Support Framework Agreement, focusing on universal family support services in Ayr, including Troon, Prestwick, and surrounding villages, as well as North and South Carrick, and advocacy services for children and young people. The process followed an open procedure under the services category, with the contract now in the award stage and valued at approximately GBP 2,092,000. Key dates include the contract signing on 25th April 2025, following the tendering period that ended on 23rd January 2025. These services aim to deliver early intervention and advocate for children and young people, and will be provided in regions such as Maybole, Girvan, and South Ayrshire, aligning with the needs identified by South Ayrshire Council.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses involved in delivering social services, particularly those specialising in family support and advocacy. Organisations like Barnardo's and Stepping Stones for Families, which hold contracts, illustrate the potential for both large-scale enterprises and SMEs to successfully engage with such initiatives. Services focusing on wellbeing and preventive interventions are integral, making this a niche yet beneficial area for businesses aiming to expand their portfolio in public service offerings. The emphasis on quality over price, as reflected in the award criteria, highlights the council's prioritisation of service delivery standards, making it an attractive proposition for businesses committed to high-quality and impactful social services.
