## Summary

The Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body (SPCB) is inviting tenders for high level building fabric maintenance services. This includes Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), reactive, minor and project change works at the Scottish Parliament Building in Holyrood, Edinburgh. The services also cover hard and soft landscaping maintenance, bird pest control, and maintenance only accessible via rope access due to the building's complexity. The procurement is in the tender stage and uses an open procedure. The tender period ends on 22nd January 2025, with the contract anticipated to start immediately afterward. The industry category is services, with specific classifications including maintenance, cleaning, and pest control (CPV codes: 70332000, 45112700, 90620000). Key personnel must hold IRATA Operator membership and maintain it for the contract's duration.

This tender presents a significant growth opportunity for businesses specialising in high-risk building maintenance, particularly those with expertise in rope access and extensive experience in large-scale maintenance projects. Companies that can provide both planned and reactive maintenance services, as well as landscaping and pest control, are well-suited to compete. The SPCB emphasises fair work practices, including payment of the Real Living Wage, making this contract attractive for companies committed to high workforce standards. Additionally, firms who can ensure comprehensive cyber security measures will meet the minimum requirements set forth, increasing their chances of successful contract award.
