## Summary

River Clyde Homes, a housing and community amenities authority located in Greenock, is the buyer for the "High Access Repair Works Framework" project, which focuses on repair work related to housing stock in the Inverclyde region. The tender process followed an open procedure under the works category, and involved critical repairs such as those to gutters, downpipes, and minor roofing. The contract stage was completed with KPM Contractors Ltd awarded and will run until March 2027. Key dates include the tender submission deadline on 27th January 2025, and the contract signed on 26th March 2025, highlighting a prompt turnaround that emphasises the necessity of early engagement in such procurement processes.

This contract presents a significant opportunity for businesses, especially SMEs in the construction sector, to engage with public sector projects on a contractual framework basis. Given that the framework aims to appoint three competent contractors, there is scope for various firms with expertise in high-access repair works to secure recurring and potentially extendable contracts. Businesses with a proven track record in delivering similar projects, and those that can offer community benefits such as local employment and training initiatives, are particularly well-placed to leverage this opportunity for growth and increased visibility in the public procurement domain.
