## Summary

The procurement process for the "Calvay and Wellhouse HAs - Common Close Cleaning 2025" contract was managed by Calvay Housing Association Limited, in collaboration with the Wellhouse Housing Association. Based in Glasgow, this tender falls under the services category, specifically focusing on housing and community amenities. The open procurement method was used for the process, allowing multiple organisations to submit proposals. The procurement journey began with the tender stage, which was published in January 2025, and concluded with the awarding of the contract in March 2026. The project aimed to cover various locations within the G33 area of Glasgow, focusing on the cleaning of common areas in tenanted properties. The contract value was £100,216 GBP, and it was awarded to CAS Contract Cleaning Ltd and Caledonian Maintenance Services Ltd.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in cleaning services. Companies with expertise in managing multiple site locations and the capacity to coordinate extensive cleaning operations would find this contract attractive for business growth. Given that the tender evaluation emphasised both quality and price, businesses focused on delivering high standards while maintaining competitive pricing had a distinct advantage. SMEs, in particular, were well-suited to compete in this open process, as evidenced by the participation and success of smaller organisations. Given the project's scope and the possibility for contract renewal, it offers a reliable stream of business, contributing to long-term growth and stability for the awarded companies. This process highlights the importance of community engagement, as noted by the inclusion of community benefits in the contract requirements.
