## Summary

The Highland Council is planning a procurement process for the provision of a Handyperson Service and Care and Repair Service, to be delivered across various regions of the Scottish Highlands including Black Isle, Mid, Easter and Wester Ross, Sutherland, Caithness, Inverness/Shire, Nairn, Badenoch and Strathspey, Lochaber, and Lochalsh and Skye. The procurement is currently at the planning stage, with key activities and milestones expected to be finalised ahead of the next invitation to tender stage. Potential bidders are encouraged to review and comment on the council’s requirements by 10th March 2025, as part of the engagement process. The procurement falls under the general public services category and seeks services experienced in managing community support and telehealth/telecare services.

This tender offers significant opportunities for businesses specialising in community health services, residential repairs, and remote care technologies. Companies experienced in providing minor household repairs, telecare installation and monitoring, and management of community stores will find this tender aligns well with their expertise. This initiative can help businesses grow by expanding their service offerings and establishing long-term contracts with regional authorities. Bidders will also have the opportunity to propose buildings for managing community stores and ensure seamless integration of telecare technology, making it an attractive venture for those aiming to expand their regional footprint in public service provisions.
