## Summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde has initiated and completed the award stage of a procurement process for upgrading existing sectional CWSTs to include Category 5 Protection. This project is focused on ensuring compliance with Scottish Water Byelaws and other relevant regulations at the Royal Alexandra Hospital (RAH) in Glasgow. The procurement falls under the works category, specifically in water distribution and the operation of water supplies. The process adhered to a direct procurement method, resulting in a contract awarded to DMA Canyon Ltd on 2nd October 2025.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses in the water infrastructure sector, particularly those specialising in compliance upgrades and water safety standards. Companies with expertise in cold water storage systems, fluid category protection, and large-scale tank installation would find this contract highly relevant. Such projects not only help in compliance with stringent water bylaws but also in enhancing the safety and operational efficiency of healthcare facilities. This contract highlights the potential for similar future opportunities within the public sector, particularly in health sector utilities management.
