## Summary

The Scottish Police Authority, acting as the buying organisation, is facilitating an open procurement process titled "Transportation of Deceased Persons." This initiative is centered in the public order and safety industry category and focuses on services throughout mainland and islands of Scotland. The procurement is currently in the tender stage, with the submission deadline set for 2nd June 2025 at 12:00 PM. The contract notice was published on 5th May 2025, and the award process begins immediately after the submission deadline. The procurement involves a framework agreement split into two lots, addressing transportation needs related to Police Scotland and the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service investigations.

This tender represents a substantial opportunity for businesses specialising in transportation services to secure a place within a framework agreement with significant regional demand. The contract is structured to allow suppliers to bid on geographical regions best suited to their operations, thereby providing tailored opportunities for small to large enterprises with logistical capabilities. Businesses well-suited for this contract include those already compliant with public liability and employer liability insurance requirements and those with experience in specialised transport services. Furthermore, the ability to demonstrate technical capabilities through past related services will be advantageous, positioning such businesses to contribute effectively to public safety and order through this essential service provision.
