Forestry and Land Scotland (FLS) has a requirement to place a contract with an external service provider for the provision of Woodland Establishment by means of a competition against Lot 2 of the Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) Woodland Establishment across Scotland Ref FW0049 for the following site: FLS-165-C FLS-164-C Loch Katrine Total: 313ha Lot 2 planting and maintenance contracts involve delivering woodland establishment on sites in Forestry and Land Scotland ownership, these may include but will not be restricted to coalfield restoration, brownfield and slope stabilisation projects. The enabling work may include bio-remediation of the sites using Water Treated Sewage Cake or other organic materials. Where organic matter is used it will be incorporated into the often newly de-compacted Soil Forming Material. FLS will be the Forestry Works Manager (FWM) for the delivery of all Lot 2 Call-off Contracts. Contractors will be expected to undertake forest establishment operations. This will include tree planting, beating-up to replace any dead or missing trees, chemical weeding and hand weeding operations. Sites may be operating under Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM). Where applicable, it is a requirement for the Contractor to comply with the site safety regulations as set out by the principle contractor.
