## Summary

The procurement process for the project titled "Scottish Land Commission website, hosting and support" involved the redevelopment of the Scottish Land Commission's website to enhance user experience, accessibility, and functionality. The Scottish Land Commission, based in Inverness, acted as the buying organisation, focusing on services within the information technology and website support industry category. The procurement utilised an open procedure, with digital agencies invited to submit tenders by 30th May 2025. The contract was awarded on 18th July 2025 to Aspect: The Strategic Communication Experts, a small to medium-sized enterprise (SME) based in Aberdeen. The project aims to deliver a modern and scalable website with improved navigation and WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility standards, catering to diverse audiences such as policymakers, landowners, and communities.

This tender presents significant opportunities for digital agencies specialising in website development, accessibility, and stakeholder engagement. While the contract was awarded to an SME, agencies with expertise in creating user-friendly and visually engaging websites will find potential growth by aligning their offerings with public sector needs. With a contract value of £32,491, businesses well-suited for this endeavour are those with a proven track record in digital transformation projects and the ability to work collaboratively with public bodies like the Scottish Land Commission. The focus on user-centred design and accessibility offers agencies the chance to showcase their innovative solutions for enhancing stakeholder interaction and visibility on digital platforms.
