## Summary

The City of Edinburgh Council is in the planning stage of a public procurement process for the supply of Legio Blocks to its waste transfer stations at Bankhead and Seafield. This procurement, classified under the goods main industry category and valued at £100,000, is intended to assess market interest in both full-sized and half-sized concrete Legio blocks. Interested parties are invited to complete a market research questionnaire by Friday, 9th May 2025, with a future notice expected on 30th May 2025. The procurement aims to identify the most appropriate route to market for delivering these heavy-duty concrete blocks, which are essential for creating storage bays at the waste transfer stations.

This tender represents a significant opportunity for suppliers in the construction materials sector, particularly those specialising in large concrete products. Businesses capable of providing durable and heavy-duty concrete blocks for industrial waste storage will find this contract favourable for growth by establishing long-term partnerships with The City of Edinburgh Council. The procurement method involves proactive market engagement through a Prior Information Notice (PIN), making it a strategic chance for businesses to influence the tendering process and align their offerings with the Council's requirements.
