## Summary

ScotRail Trains Limited has completed a procurement process to contract Security Plus + Limited for the supply of cash handling, collections, and in-transit services from stations. This contract covers various locations throughout Scotland and falls under the industry category of railway services. The procurement stage was award, and the contract was signed on 28 March 2025. The initial contract term is three years, with options to extend for up to four additional years. The procurement method utilised is limited, through an ESPO Framework Agreement, ensuring value for money by selecting the most cost-effective supplier via desktop analysis of framework rates. The total contract value is £1,156,365 GBP.

This tender provides substantial opportunities for businesses that specialise in cash handling and logistics. Security Plus + Limited, being a large-scale supplier, was awarded the contract due to its competitive pricing and comprehensive geographic coverage. Businesses with expertise in secure cash transport and collection services can find growth opportunities in similar tenders by offering competitive prices and efficient service delivery. Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) can strategically position themselves by forming alliances with large suppliers or by leveraging their niche capabilities to participate in framework agreements like ESPO's. The procurement methodology and rationalisation demonstrate an effective route for compliance and market entrance through well-established frameworks.
